Transfer case help
Hi,
there is the sound of a squealing bearing coming from where the front prop shaft enters the transfer case. Turns out my actuator wasnt unlocking the front hubs so it was always turning. Question. Does anyone know if the bearing is on the prop shaft side or in the transfer case? Can these bearings be bought separately? Are they a special part or a pretty standard bearing? To make matters worse I'm 2 weeks into a 9 week Overland journey up on the Okavango river near rundu in Namibia....
It's a 2003 did auto paj
Please help.

Re: Transfer case help
Maybe it's too late new, but Rundu is a good place to be as that town has maintenance facilities with help and advice available.

Re: Transfer case help
I've driven my Mk1 for thousands of km in 4WD with no harm to any component. They are designed for that. The Mk1 however cant be driven on bitumen in 4WD.
