does it do it in 4th as well. 5th gear is known for some whine after long life.

Sure its not your rear wheel bearings??? They also whine from about 80+ Km/hr.....
thanks for the input guys it does it in 4th and o /drive and it gets softer as you come off the juice someone told me they can adjust the diff play could that be
