i have a 3000i 1995 4x4 auto pajero.the second gear is slipping and will only go into 2nd if i select it on the gear box i have just bought the van so i know no history of the van.who can i contact to repair this at a reasonable cost thanks shaun dodd 0835968986 or 011789-3301
I too have a slippage problem with my Auto Gearbox,
especially when going on uphills or under load, it tends to slip on 3rd, this to rectify the situation I have to really floor it then it changes to 2nd until I get enough momentum.
How do I fix this, (I cannot afford R12,000).

When last was the transmission fluid drained, flushed and replaced?
If not recently, that might just be the only problem.

I was hoping you would bite,
No, when I discovered this, my mackie re-torqued the box and topped up the oil,
but since, I'm getting a very slight drip, and the oil is brown, obviously burning a bit when slipping.
What do you suggest, because re-torquing and topping up did not make any difference.

hi guys i got my problem sorted out by a guy in the south of jhb and charged me R6500.00 and found the drum was burnt out took him a weak but now it is fine and running like a bomb.the only thing i am looking for is a neutral switch which was broken and agents want R1300.00 for a new one does anyone have a second hand one
