Hi all
Feels like I am missing something here. I am in the loop of all the 22 year old stuff on my 3.5 is now packing up. I last few months I had to replace the Hydraulic Cam Tensioner and now the Power Steering Pulley tensioner. Both of these were less than half the price to buy on Ebay and have delivered. Where do you guys buy parts like that. My next big one is front suspension bushes, etc.
There must be an element of profiteering in the local market.
I have my Pajero in for it’s 250K service today at East Rand Mitsu which coincidentally was quoted at twice the price of the Bosch Service Agents but I thought the Mitsu guys would do a better job of checking out for any other issues. The Battery light came on by Monday afternoon and without properly checking Mitsu East Rand are quoting R27K to replace it!!!
I’m pretty sure the equivalent replacement part will be cheaper anywhere else but the Mitsu Dealers.
