Fuel type - LRP vs ULP
Hi All

I bought my 1998 Pajero 3.0 GLX SWB 4x4 in 2005 and have always used LRP. Because it is being phased out and difficult to find I've come across this website to see if my car could run off ULP without having to add additives https://www.naamsa.co.za/FuelCompatibility. To my shock and horror (unless I'm reading this wrong) it says my car should actually be running ULP!!?? The last column indicates whether it is LRP compatible and it says N for my model. Have I been using the wrong fuel all these years??

Re: Fuel type - LRP vs ULP
Consulted my owners manual (if all else fails, read the instruction manual!) and it seems LRP is the correct fuel type. Which then means the NAAMSA website is incorrect
Re: Fuel type - LRP vs ULP
Morning.
I'm the owner of a 1998 3.0L GLX SWB as well and have used ULP ever since it was available at the pumps with NO PROBLEMS.
