Can anyone explain this to me. I have a 2018 Pajero Sport 4x4 A/T. In my hand book it says that "engine oil level will be increased due to an amount of the fuel being mixed in the engine oil when the DPF regenerates to burn away the PM". How is this possible? As far as my knowledge goes, the DPF is part the exhaust system and has nothing to do with the fuel system, even less the fuel system.
I don't feel having fuel mixed in the engine oil is a good thing. Any help will be appreciated.
