Re: MZ100722EX - Mitsubishi Diesel Fuel System Cleaner
I couldn't notice the extra smoothness with the cleaner in the tank but when I filled up again after the tank with cleaner was nearly empty I noticed the engine being rougher.

I still have a bit of smoke at idle but it has definitely lessened. I'll try another bottle or two and see what happens.

This one would work nicely! I've been having problem with my truck jerking whenever I press on the accelerator! I think there are some clogged area on my fuel system.

Hi 4ePikanini, by using the fuel system cleaner you found negative results, I'm trying to decide whether to go for the Liqui Moly Diesel Fuel System or whether to stick to the Mitsu one as instructed in the manual.

Did you get negative results? What do you mean by the engine getting rougher?

Thanks in advance for your input
Re: MZ100722EX - Mitsubishi Diesel Fuel System Cleaner
Hi, I had similar problem. I filled up at a filling station I never use but the same brand that I prefer and after a day or two my car started to take a bit longer to start than normal and when idling it was smoking a bit but when on temp the smoke was gone. Then after some days the smoking became more and the engine was noisy when I accelerated, typical injector clatter sound. I phone Arnold and he said it might be dirty diesel or injectors. I used injector cleaner on two tanks and it was a bit better but still not running smooth and silent like it use to be.

I noticed a definite fuel consumption increase, I do keep detailed record of my Pajero's every detail, as well as reduction in power.

I then took it for its service and Arnold flushed the fuel system with the Liqui Moly product and the amount of water and dirt that came out of the system was crazy. It seems as if the water does not get out of the system by itself and after the flushing he took the car for a drive and when he came back the engine was quite, idling perfect and the smoke was gone.

The flushing of the system was not via the additive into the tank but through the diesel pump directly which I think was the answer to the problem. Since then my car is still running like a mouse with slippers. :D

I am fully supporting the Liqui Moly treatment. Had the same when I got the 3.2 LWB becaus e you dont know the driving habits and what type of Diesel were used in previous times.
I had the same experience after the treatment ...the engine was idling much smoother and acceleration was smoother as well. While the "cleaning was in progress It was amazing what was coming out...
I can recommend this any time......
