Instrument panel/cluster fuse blows frequently
Good day,

I recently towed a trailer (borrowed) to Punda Maria and as we arrived at the gate I heard a clunk and suddenly my 2007 LWB 3.2 DID's windows did not want to open anymore. Ran into the reception and when I got back I could not get the Paj to start. After a long time in the sun with a burnt neck a friend towed us to our campsite.

Did some fault finding and realised that the start failure (Start - runs for 3 seconds and shuts down) must be related to the immobiliser. The instrument cluster's lights were off and the speedo/rev counter is dead whilst the key is in the on position. Head lights, blinkers and breaks work. Found that the instrument cluster fuse in the dashboard fuse box blew. I simply replaced the fuse and thought we will be on our way. After driving for two days without the trailer in Kruger the fuse blew again and had to replace it in the bush, luckily no lions were close (or at least I think so).

Have since driven back to Pretoria and just as I came around the last corner the fuse blew again. There must be some kind of short circuit somewhere, but wanted to know if someone else previously had the same issue and/or could point me in the right direction. Could the issue perhaps have originated from the borrowed trailer? Perhaps a wire fried whilst towing. Or will it be limited to something in the dashboard?

Thanks
