Hi guys,
Tried it out and it works perfectly.
Do anyone knows whether the sun roof from a 2006 will fit a 2000 model ck swb? Are there mountings for the sun roof under my roof lining?

I have the 2000 3.2 diesel LWB and changed from the old display to the colour display. It was plug and play and everything works.

The nice thing is that you can now change the original cd and radio to your own choice to include eg. MP3, IPOD & USB as the display button is on the actual display unit.
Hi K
I was wondering about the compass function on the colour dispay, I recall someone mentioning that the sensor is in the rear of the car (rear door?!?) for it to align it self correctly? Have you checked it's accuracy with a GPS? I am definately interested now, am over the standard CD player, I need MP3 functionality...

Hi,
No I didn't check against a GPS system but will do so over the weekend. However, at a glance it seems to be working fine.

Hi Nick,
I am almost certain I saw some documentation recently that showed there is a sort of magnetic coil/aerial arrangement (geomagnetic sensor) built into the top of the display. I don't believe there is any other sensor external to the blue display unit itself.
If I find the docs I will post a link.
[Edit]OK, found it - in the manual chapter 54A page 54A-2.

Phew!! Thanks. I am almost embarrassed to mention that my GPS doesn't tell you which direction you are travelling. It's a basic Tom Tom. However, from what I see the display looks correct.
Hi. Sorry for digging this up.
I just got a v73w import from Japan and am looking at changing back my top touch screen mmcs to a simple console display and getting an aftermarket 2-din system on the lower part of the console instead.
Does any one know if changing from top nav screen to console display is a simple plug and play operation?
Many thanks
