Gears changing at wrong time + slipping on auto Pajero v73 (V6 petrol 6g72 engine)
Hi all!

I have an issue on my 2005 Pajero Gen 3 v73w0500 with v6 petrol 6g72 engine.

For some time now, the gears are changing at the wrong time, as if they were not synchronised properly:

- slipping (crrrr noise) between 1st and 2nd and 2nd and 3rd occasionally when driving uphill or asking for power.
- automatic gearbox downshifts almost instantly when asking for power (hitting the gas pedal)
- when accelerating, gears stay in too long and engine rpm too high before gear change.
- when driving 80km/h for example, gearbox may change between 3rd and 4th gear constantly.
- hesitation in 2nd gear as if there was something restraining the engine. (lack of power)

What could be my problem?

ATF has been changed with new genuine Transmission Filter and genuine ATF SPIII has been used (5 litres)

I also have occasionally have shuddering/knocking when in 4th gear (last gear) and low rpm which feels like its coming from the rear. I suspect this is a different problem.

Please help
