Has anyone seen or read or heard anything about these?

I notice they say if you have an LSD you need to change the carrier.

Any opinions on auto lockers in general?

The only negative I've heard re auto lockers eg Detroit Lockers, is that they can catch you out on a gravel road. The moment the locker locks/unlocks, the vehicle will react differently (due to the changed grip), which sometimes catches the driver out and he would over/under-correct

The after-market lockers are generally reported to be great, but expensive.

It may be worth your while to "retrofit" a Pajero RDL.

Here's how: http://www.4x4wire.com/mitsubishi/tech/factory_locker/

Hi

On the Auzzie Locker website, when you click on Mitshibushi it takes you to a page which gives the following info:

So Simon, is the idea to install this autolockers on the front axle?

In my case it will be brilliant! Manual diff lock for rear and autolockers for the front, that will just be amazing offroad.

$290 is almost R2 000, which sounds like a bargain to me, then we just need to get it to SA and fitted.

Maybe we can pool together for shipment and bring a whole container over.

No, the rear as I don't have a D/L at the back. Autolockers at the front, I believe, cause a lot of understeer and tend to increase tyre wear considerably.

My actual idea (with unlimited budget) is to put ARB air lockers front and rear, or (with slightly less unlimited budget, is just the ARB at the front, keeping the LSD.

But at 13k the ARB is a tad expensive. To source a second hand axle and all the bits for the factory locker is very difficult and costs upwards of 8k now.

There is a local supplier of Auzzie Lockers but not sure who (The price I believe is about R4200), There is also the detroit route.
