For all those owners of Pajeros, Colts, Tritons, Lancers & Outlanders there is service centre based in Centurion managed by Freek Snr. who previously was service advisor at Mitsubishi Centurion and later at Midrand.
Myself and other acquintances have recently serviced there and they come highly recommended especially for those of us out of warranty and service plan.
Contact Freek on 012 644 2888(NUMBER EDITED) or 083 543 6406 alternatively visit ther workshop at 94 Botha Avenue c/o Langebrink Street, Lyttelton - Centurion.
They certainly less expensive than the agents.

Are they RMI approved, I have to service my vehicle at one?

RMI approval isn't worth a hellavu lot. Rather just walk through the shop, look around and have a chat to one of the juniors (he's the one that will turn the spanners) ... if you get a good feeling, go for it. If anything makes you uneasy, walk away ....
And ask for references (like I did above

Well that my whole point, unfortunately I have to do it at a RMI dealer otherwise I loose my warranty?

I've been to Mitspro and have receive Gr8 service, Freek knows his Mitsu's and is "hands-on", the Junior there is Freek Jnr and they are really focussed on building a decent shop providing us Centurioners with a workshop that treaures our "babies" the way we do! Impact on the wallet is really fantastic!

I think admin should give Freek a ring and offer him an affiliate membership on this forum with all the free advertising he gets
I pity the folks that have to have their babies serviced at the stealers, the prices mitsu is charging is in my experience exorbitant and can not be justified. On my recent front end rebuild I was quoted R 7000 per unit for new side shafts on my gen2 as mitsu does not supply the cv joints, had it not been for a previous post of 4E it would have cost me almost 15k just for side shafts, in the end I did both side shafts as well as ball joints and all the rubbers, disk pads, idler arms and tie rod ends for 7k. Last weekend it was the rear suspension's turn and when I saw the oil seal on the rear of the transmission sweating I went to mitsu to get the right one and mentioned to Jones that their prices was a bit crazy and that I got the spares needed in Pretoria, he knew where to get the bits and his only response was that they also had to eat. It turned out to be the wrong oil seal that they supplied and I got a pirate one from bearing man at R 22 compared to mitsu's R86, same make just a different sticker on the package
If you have a pajero that is becoming a bit long in the tooth like mine it is well worth the effort and expense to change your suspension rubbers and just give it a once over. Those squeaks and creaking sound disappear and the baby drives as smooth as a new one
