Welcome Bruce!

Regarding uploading pictures, when you reply (or start a topic), click on Upload Attachment, chose the file you want to upload from the PC. After clicking on Add the File you have a choice to leave it attached, or place it inline (in your post). You can also place it inline from a URL by using the Img tag above the post editor.

Perhaps it's time I wrote a little tutorial... :lol:

upload to image hosting site - I use imageshack
copy the url
press the img button in your reply window on pocsa
paste the url
preview
submit if you're happy

Imageshack is free and doesn't cost the community any money on bandwidth - especially if I link from other sites and forums.
