I am trying to locate the air purifier element on my 2001 3.5 Pajero. Does anyone know how to get to it?

Hi Eswan, Its called a pollen filter and situated behind the lower cubbyhole. You squash the sides of the cubbyhole towards another and the unit drops down. Behind that there is a filter that u loosen by unscrewing the x2 holding screws and it just slides out. Not sure how much the Gen3 cost mine (Gen4) cost aprox R 280 new.
