Jenki
In South Africa we didn't get any Pajero's with rear diff lock until mid 1997 (the so-called blister fender). The easy select version was never released here.
Hi Jenki
Ours is a 1997 3litre, not the 3.5, and as SimonB said, only the blister models (also called Gen 2.5) came with a rear difflock here in South Africa. I am really loving the vehicle now though...it just goes everywhere!

Oh, yes, understand. It means that till mid 1997 you had only middle differential on Pajeros?
I know following versions of Pajero II drivetrain from 1993 (all engines):
EasySelect - without middle differential and without rear diff-lock (SWB, Pajero Sport and L200)
Selection 2H, 4H, 4L
Some versions of Pajero Sport are with rear Limited Slip Differential (LSD)
SuperSelect - with middle differential with mid-diff lock manual and rear diff-lock electro/pneumatic (all LWB and about half of SWB)
Selection 2H, 4H, 4HLc, N, 4LLc
I have only picture of SuperSelect now: But definitely, I low this car as well
