Some feedback from me:

Remember!!!!
1. That I already had Ironman coils fitted, which is already a 5cm lift from std.
2. I went for the spacer giving 45mm-Front and 50mm Rear lift.
3. My vehicle is probably at the extremes of lifting due to the above factors. Lifted about 10cm from standard I would say!!

The suspension is definately harder, why I do not know, but possibly due to sway bar angle?
Stability of the vehicle is worse due to the harder ride, higher COG and the steering seem 'over responsive'.
I definately picked up a slight vibration around 80-120km/h after the lift.
CV boots seem under strain but holding up so far and I went to visit 2 CV specialists to give me an opinion on the angles and they reckon it is at its extremes, but still workable. Time will tell

Have not tested it off road yet , but I suspect that I have lost almost all articulation  , which is very little in the Gen3 already, at the cost of the gained ground clearance.:)

It would be interesting to hear comments from people that still have the standard coils and do the lift, which I think will work better together than my setup. In my case ,with the already lifted coils, it is quite drastic and I am still considering removal of spacers if it will affect reliability. With any modification you win somewhere at the cost of something else, so one must be sure that this is what you are happy with before committing.

Still waiting for my spacer from Uys. Will hopefully get them soon then will have them fitted in Centurion. Mine is till dead standard in suspension terms so shoudl be good measure to notice differences.

Some interesting stats on my rear suspension, after fitting the Air bags/bellows my rear suspension is now 30mm higher than before, which means I may only be adding the front spacers, so something to take into account if you are considering a lift, and can be adjusted according to your needs. What gains did you get on your rear airbags?

Only problem is my rear was already higer than the front so now a bit more nose down, will address once back from Kgalagadi, will have to do for now.

David, could you perhaps give me some details of the airbags youfitted at the rear? Make price and how the installation works.

Thanks

Bostokkelos,

I bought them from another member who had them removed when he sold his Paj, the make was Airlift and was the heavy duty as I understand. I didn't have much time to install as work has been keeping me pretty busy so got LA Sport in Centurion to fit, and they just replaced the pipes for the pump location else so far looks good.

Here is the link to Airlift:

Hope that helps.

Went to Mikem to get my spacers fitted. The following came up:

Normally, the droop stop is caused by the shock extending to its max. Now, after fitting the spacer, it seems the control arm hits this bush/bolt thingy (on the cross member).
Droop problem 1.jpg
Looking at it, I can see that its never made contact with that in the past (what you see is just settled dust/mud)

Those of you who've had your spacers install - does the control arm now hit against this?

Also, this means that the shock must be forced in - which is possible to do. But how do you get the shock out?? Is it possible to do without breaking the bolt that holds the shock?

Hectic - that is not good :( What does Uys have to say about this?

In contrast... with an OME kit, the shock does not move down - it remains in the standard location, so it will still limit the droop.

No response from Uys yet - think he's away for the long weekend.

Hoping for some feedback from the other guys who have installed these spacers...
