Good now we know what size the hose is but elaborate on the contraption you want to fit over it, just maybe I could use it to turn on my noss

.
Serious what does it do, how does it do it, and what else canit do? It seems like something that might just be handy, oh cost as well

Looks like a section of tube containing a temperature sensor. It would require a section of hose to be cut out in order to insert the tube into the water line.

This is the ebay link
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 031wt_1165
2 are on the way. One for my gen2 3.0 v6 and one for dad's gen1 3.2 DiD.
Some of the descriptions are pretty funny but as long as it doesn't bulge under pressure and I can seal the thread then it will serve the purpose.
I want to use it as extra temp sensor or even a coolant loss alarm.

Despite the appearance of frivolous banter this is something that I have been looking for for a long time and up to now I had to make do with a section of steel pipe with the required fittings welded in and having to replace every so often. Thanks for the tip Marius
