Re: Tie in the dots
Sounds like a plan - used to really enjoy joining the dots as a kid!

On Saturday you mentioned the great rides out of Barberton - think a bit of google earthing with your dots is in order - great way to pass a Friday at work :D

Cheers

Re: Tie in the dots
As soon as I have figured out how to get those dot co-ords onto a spreadsheet or something usefull, I'll post those and then you guys can create your own dots in G/E.

You will see that I tried to place the dots in such a way that only one "sensible" route is viable if you diligently follow the sequence.
Re: Tie in the dots
After studying the other thread, you can create paths to show the route! ;)

Re: Tie in the dots
How does the 29th of Sep sound?

I recommend a trip down from Gauteng on the Friday afternoon/evening and settle in at Diggers Retreat http://www.barberton.co.za/content/view/30/152/ for the night. Next morning (8am-ish) we tackle the mountains with a cooler box and lunch box in the car. The expedition should take-up most of the day. That evening one could arrange a big lapa fire at Diggers. Mark, the owner/manager, will arrange whatever we request at a fair charge. Those details can be finalised closer to the date.

Comments please,

Absolutely will not miss this trip. This is one of my favourite parts of the country. Wife and kids will love this type of trip. Any idea how many KM, I drive the 3.5 petrol shorty snd she can get very thirsty.
Looking forward to not only the route but also meeting fellow club members.

Harras,
Yip - that's the one, except the hanging tree fell down a few years ago.

Gordon,
Tank range isn't an issue at all - not to worry.
