Nou's ek eers jammer ek kon dit nie maak nie!

Roelf - belated thanks for an awesome day with awesome people, awesome mountains & awesome machines
Bandwidth is poor at my Hazyview spot - will post pictures when back on ADSL.
Please also pass thanks to Chris & Roland for their time & the local knowledge they added to the day.
Cheers

Also add my GREAT appreciation to Chris and Roland for that something extra that they added to the outing. The history and fauna knowledge plus extra reading pages they gave us is facinating! And they did all this on their own free time.TomPaj wrote: Please also pass thanks to Chris & Roland for their time & the local knowledge they added to the day.
My oldest boy already had my hammer out yesterday afternoon when we got home, crushing his white rocks and panning in his mothers frying pan for some glint of gold!!

CATS
I will pass your thanks on to those two gents. They are wonderful servants of the local community through various projects that they are forever busy with.
Chris also truly enjoyed the day and your company and thinks a Pajero is an awesome machine - but then he only has a Hilux D/C 4x4 to measure it against
I don't see Roland that often, but will get message to him as well.
You guys won't believe it, but I'm doing the route again on the 13th Oct. Only difference is we won't climb back out of the Hislops Creek gorge, but exit along the creek to the valley below. A famous author is busy with research for his next novel and we'll spend a day with him to help colour in the background. This will be our second day together, the first one was in an office sitting around a tape recorder.

We even had a flower show, including the well known Barberton Daisy to the Blue Bull, old Northern Transvaal rugby

Gents,
At the braai after the trip somebody (anonymously) sponsored me a POCSA sticker.
Now you guys know I've been muttering about the dash and sneaking into VW dealers driving new Tregs around.
Well:
I feel so good about my Pajero since Mitsu SA contacted me to fix the dash, that the sticker went on today (after a good wash
).
To the gentleman that was so very thoughtful to get me that sticker - thanks for your part in making me really like my Pajero again, just like a nice, smooth, powerful, comfortable, safe and able car deserves.
