Hi Johan, Interesting that this was your right wheel - it seems to be that generally the left ones gives up first.

How easy was it to change the bearing assembly?
i did hit a pothole 2 weeks prior that could have helped with the destruction of the bearing hub.

i didn't change it myself, took the PJ to a workshop who changed it for me.

Decided that i will have the left bearing also replaced during the coming month to be on the safe side.

These bearings seems to be still the factory fitted bearings and have done 330000km

Re: Urgent help needed, wheel bearing
Yes, normally the LH one goes first, strange! To change is relatively easy, basic tools needed, have done it a few times.
I ordered a set from Masterparts in CT December 2013, paid around R2400-00 for the set. Replacing them on my SWB was not a breeze thou, the part of both the bearing assemblies that locates into the suspension hub/knuckle got stuck due to rust and I had to use a massive press to dislodge them, apart from that it went fairly easy. You have to do wheel alignment afterwards.
