Hi Guys
Check the vacuum solenoids next to the air box. Be careful, the. Solenoid might click to pull it in but it does not hold it in position which will cause all kinds of issues. I'm waiting for my new solenoid pack. If successful I will inform.
You are Not alone, this is a Very common issue in these models. Alot have been coverred. In my experience it was the solenoids that were old. What i have found on two occasions is that on the end of the solenoid there is a plastic like covering protecting the wiring, this is where wiring gets brittled over time and then break off on the metal part of the solenoid. I had to do some soledring with new wiring, becasue, you guess, there is no parts available and need to be imported.
Also check the fuses, etc. i also once found a broken reverse light switch giving problems.
And yes, dont discard the actuater and other good comments made on this post.
I can further suggest that you search for flashing lights on the forum and youll find thsi subject have been discussed a few times.
Good luck.

Hi all
I have the same problem for a while now on 2002 3.2 DID SWB.
Been reading forums and analyzing the fault.
At first the C/D lock flashed orange only after a few hundred kilo's then I stop and switch off and restart as the operators manual states and it is clear.
Now this last trip it start flashing and will not reset, but my 4x4 4H does work as I used it for 160km through the mountains.
I keep my speed to below 100KPH as It starts to make a strange noise.
I noticed that when I start up on a angle all clears and back to normal till I drive on a level then it goes back to orange C/D flashing.
Does this warning perhaps check oil levels ?
